This jacket is definitely my best f21 buy ever, I love that it looks glam-vintage and i’m always able to wear it
so many different ways; and in my book that’s always a plus.
This week and next will be jammed packed with things to do and I’m going a bit nuts…
trying to organize, prep and stay focus.

nothing drastic, just pretty much what i already had since you all loved my hair color and well I did too so
I didn’t want to change it to something else….yet. These are the top 7 FAQ’s I get from
you guys all the time, so here they go:
1. Where do you get your hair done?
At Beauty Box in Echo Park with Lydia
2. What’s the technique that your stylist uses to get your ómbre hair?
Beauty Box is a Redken salon which means they use all Redken products. To get the in-demand
ombre look, Redken’s technique (and what my stylist does) is called the Illumination technique.
3. How do I prevent oily bangs?
I recommend for you to :
a) hardly touch them because the more you touch them the more you’re likely to get them greasy
b) dust a little bit of baby powder and comb through your bangs before you style
c) or, use dry shampoo when you don’t have time to wash your hair and this will help stop the oils.
4. How do you style/cut the rest of your hair?
To be honest, I don’t touch the rest of my hair…( i know its bad) but when I do actually cut/trim my hair
I ask for them to cut my hair in a V shape. This way it gives me longer layers.
5. What brands do you use for your hair?
Redken, Bumble & Bumble and John Frieda are the ones I use the most.
6. How do you keep your hair looking healthy?
The main thing for me is that I don’t comb my hair; I’ve noticed that every time I do comb my hair, i feel like
i get breakage/split ends. Also, I don’t like to blow dry my hair, the heat can really damage your hair.
So I like to air dry instead, but I do blow dry my bangs ONLY for like 5-10 seconds.
7. How do you get your loose waves?
I have 2 curling irons that I use depending if I want more of a tighter wave then I use the 1″ barrel iron
or if I want a looser wave I use my 1.5″ barrel iron. I prefer a 1.5″ barrel curling iron because it gives me a lot
more volume and bounce.
Divide your hair by sections, start at the back of your hair and
grab the rest of your so that it doesn’t get it in the way and then let go of more hair and keep doing the same thing. Until you reach the front part of your hair, then you grab the hair around your face and curl AWAY from your face so that
it frames your face nicely. I grab strands of hair (thick and thin to give it a balance) and curl from the top, down and hold it
for like 30 seconds and do that all around my hair. I finish my look with Bumble & Bumble’s Surf Spray and
sometimes I even use Big Sexy Hair hairspray!

Thanks for the FAQ — so helpful! I really love the jacket here too. It’s interesting how the print is a little ambiguous unless you’re close up. From far away it almost looks like it could be sequined.
